| This is a puzzle set of 4 cards. Not as easy as it looks (it took me a while to get everything to fit - and I'd painted it!) |

New in my sketchbook....
After the set of ATCs I felt inspired. I'm happy with the skin colour I've been mixing - seem to have found the right combination now. Need to buy some Micron pens - the Sharpies are way too thick for this kind of thing. Will have to order some on Ebay.
Now to work on some random ATCs for trading.......

ATC swap: Wild, whimsical women
My first set of ATCs (Artist trading Cards) done! Woo hoo! The theme was ''Wild, Whimsical Women' and it's a swap on ATCs for All. I wasn't so sure about working on such a small scale, but I really enjoyed it! They measure 8,9 X 6,35cm each. Tiny! I just have to do the backs now Done the backs and they're ready to go!

Postcard 1
The theme for this Creative Swap is "A Summer's Day". I registered yesterday and am a bit of a tight schedule and need to get everything off next week if it's going to arrive in the USA by the 17th of September. Don't want to miss the swap! Naturally, I had to start off my postcard making with some whimsical, colourful flowers. Here it is:
The postcards don't all have to be the same, so I'm going to try a stitched postcard next and see how that works out.... I have some lovely silk scraps I'm going to play around with. I've never made one before, so it should be fun.

New pics for Sketchbook Project 2012
The latest additions to my Sketchbook for the Sketchbook Project 2012. Can't believe I only have 1 page left to fill! (and there I was worried I wouldn't have anything...)
Yay! I'm finished! Click here to see the whole sketchbook.

New fabric: SPRINGTIME

One of my favourite paintings from July. I was so happy with this I decided to make it into fabric using Spoonflower. I'll post a pic of the cushion I'm going to make when the sample arrives.

Sketchbook Project 2012
I recently discovered a very exciting project called the Sketchbook Project 2012. I joined up, got my little sketchbook in the post and am a couple of pages away from finishing. The pages are really thin and not thick enough for proper watercolour painting (I tend to use 300- 350gsm paper when painting). I like painting really loosely and using huge amounts of water.
So, I decided to work with what I had, challenge myself a little and used sharpie, watercolours and coloured pencils.
Here are a couple of my favourites (all drawn and painted while watching the telly in the evening). It's been a really relaxing end to the day. I must admit I'm itching to work bigger and looser though. I now have another 2 pages to fill and then the final touches to make and I can post it off to New York.
