In all my excitement I nearly forgot the lovely little envelope that arrived in my postbox yesterday! A 20x20cm sample of my first fabric design. Yay! I've got so many ideas of what to make with this sample piece - I don't know where to start! The colours came out perfectly - so I can proudly say it's available for purchase on Spoonflower.

New fabric: 'BLOOM'
How super excited am I with my new fabric design! It's based on this piece I did last week
The end result is:
The pattern has turned out perfectly - it even has a bit of an optical illusion thing going on, which is fun - now I just have to design something really great to make with it. If you love the fabric as much as I do, it'll be available to buy from Spoonflower soon- you can preorder on the link above.

Baby playmat
I was really delighted with my first attempt at a little quilt -a baby playmat made with 100% cotton - bright African animals on the front and zebra striped fabric backing. It took me an afternoon to make. Measured 90 X 80cm.

New fabric: SPRINGTIME

One of my favourite paintings from July. I was so happy with this I decided to make it into fabric using Spoonflower. I'll post a pic of the cushion I'm going to make when the sample arrives.

Eye pillows
These eye pillows have removable covers (made in pure silk). The inner is 100% cotton and filled with locally grown organic lavender and linseed.
Perfect for blocking out the light- the eye pillow has a little pressure on the eyes. I've found that if you pop it in the freezer for an hour or so (in a ziplock so it doesn't absorb any smells) and then use it, it does wonders for tension and sinus headaches. I use mine when I have migraines and it really does help a lot.
